Envelope Printing

Envelopes are printed on digital or sheetfed presses. These are individually printed and not part of any group runs. Offset Envelopes include bleed on 3 edges (1 edge is required for a gripper).

Turnaround Time

Normal turnaround time is approximately 2-3 business days for offset printing and 4-5 business days for digital printing if you order by 10:30 a.m. Eastern Time on any day of the week from Monday-to-Friday.

IMPORTANT: Heavy Coverage or Large Solids

If your design includes heavy ink coverage and/or large solids, there may be an additional charge. Our prepress department will notify you if there is an additional charge. Heavy coverage or large solids may produce a light layer of ink that rubs off the front onto the back of the next envelope as it comes off the press. This is called offset and is very common on envelopes. 

Another factor affecting quality are the multi-layers of overlapping seams that double and triple paper thicknesses during the printing process.
